We’d like to give you a few tips on how to make the most of your room’s layout.
The first and most important step is to assess the size and floor plan of your kitchen. Don’t even start planning without doing this. The layout of the room can largely determine what kind of kitchen layout you can consider – single-line, two-line, L-shaped, U-shaped -, how many cupboards are needed, how long the worktop can be, or whether there’s room for a kitchen island or not.
For example, in a smaller space, if there’s enough room, a two-row kitchen can be a brilliant solution. This means fitting out the two opposite walls of the room. Make sure there’s enough space to move around, and that you can open the kitchen cupboards and appliance doors comfortably.

Would you prefer a traditional or modern kitchen?Hmm? What colours do you like? In a small space, lighter colours look better, whilst dark colours make the space feel cramped. It’s not just the kitchen cupboards – the worktop and the splashback also add a great deal to the interior. It doesn’t have to be all one colour – it’s also worth playing around with the contrast between different elements.
