Our portfolio We’ll continue our tour with this property, which is available to let. We were entrusted with furnishing the entire flat, and although we were working to a modest budget, we believe we’ve achieved a truly aesthetic and harmonious result.
When it comes to properties intended for letting, it is very important to choose a colour scheme that appeals to a broad range of tastes. After all, we wouldn’t want this to be a stumbling block to letting the property. In such cases, it is worth opting for natural, neutral or even earthy colours, as these radiate harmony and simply create a cosy atmosphere.
Kitchen furniture: small space, compact functionality
This is essentially a small, L-shaped, open-plan kitchen, for which we have also designed a smaller kitchen island. The closed kitchen cupboards ensure that the kitchen is always tidy – or at least that is the impression we get when we glance in. The kitchen cupboards open with a push-to-open mechanism, whilst the drawers feature a groove profile. The handle-free design further enhances the sense of clean lines.
The splashback and worktop are made from a single, wood-effect material, which we’ve also carried through to the kitchen island. Although the kitchen is tiny, it has everything we could possibly need for cooking. We opted for built-in appliances – would you believe there’s even room for a dishwasher?
However small the space may be, as an essential element of the L-shaped layout, we have complemented the design with a kitchen island, which in this case serves as a dining area. It is very important not to try to squeeze an island that is too large into the space; it is essential that there is sufficient space around it for movement and for working comfortably.
The wallpaper we envisaged for the kitchen wall continues all the way through to the living room, where we have designed simple, minimalist furniture that harmonises with the kitchen.
2-in-1 bedroom: relaxation and storage
The flat is tiny, but it does have a separate bedroom, which is characterised by a combination of grey and silver. First of all, we designed a floor-to-ceiling wardrobe for this room, which can hold a huge amount of clothes and other items. The topmost cupboards are ideal for storing items we don’t need on a daily basis, but which we’d still like to be able to get hold of at any time should the need arise.
An essential part of the bed is the bed base, which also offers a huge amount of storage space.
Hallway: simplicity and practicality
Naturally, the hallway couldn’t be left out either. Simple yet practical furniture has been placed here to accommodate the coats and shoes we wear on a daily basis. As this is an open-plan space rather than a separate room, the boundary here is marked by a different type of flooring.
