Although the finishing touches are still to be added, this modern, minimalist kitchen is already a perfect example of how functionality and elegance can be combined without compromise. In this bespoke furniture project by Mobilan, every detail speaks of harmony, thoughtful design and timeless aesthetics.
The U-shaped layout ensures the best possible use of space, particularly in rooms where it is important that every square centimetre is put to good use. This type of layout allows the hob, sink and worktops to be arranged along a logical, convenient triangle, thereby making everyday tasks easier.
The kitchen fronts are made from painted MDF, with an elegant satin-finish surface. This finish is not only aesthetically pleasing but also extremely durable – it retains its impeccable appearance for many years. The light shades convey a sense of simplicity and spaciousness, whilst providing an excellent backdrop for natural-toned accessories.
For the worktop, we chose Egger Halifax Tinned Oak, which perfectly captures the warm, homely feel of the wood’s natural grain, whilst being durable and easy to maintain. The surface also softens the modern elements visually, thereby creating balance within the space. What’s more, the oak colour complements the satin-finish fronts exceptionally well and contrasts beautifully with the black details.

The kitchen splashback – although not yet visible in the photos – will be made from Matelac White Pearl matt glass. This material is a favourite in modern interior design, as it is elegant and understated, yet also extremely practical: it is easy to clean, hygienic and lends the space a distinctive look. The matt glass creates a subtle contrast with the high-gloss and natural surfaces.
A striking visual feature is the MILO walnut wall panel with a slatted design, which serves as the back wall of the dining counter. This walnut-effect wall panel is full of character and highlights the kitchen’s unique style. The slatted design creates a modern yet warm, textured effect, making the space truly exciting without feeling cluttered. This small yet striking detail illustrates perfectly how one can strive for individuality without the overall effect becoming too garish.
The upper and lower rows of cupboards, designed for storage, offer a clean, uncluttered look and plenty of space. The appliances have also been skilfully integrated: the built-in oven, hob and dishwasher fit perfectly into the units, ensuring the design remains cohesive and tidy. Practicality and aesthetics go hand in hand throughout.

This kitchen is an excellent example of how to create a modern, minimalist style whilst retaining a cosy, inviting atmosphere. It is neither cold nor cluttered, nor ostentatious – but just eye-catching enough.
Throughout every project, the Mobilan team pays particular attention to clients’ needs, the specific characteristics of the space and long-term usability. This kitchen, too, is the result of such a carefully planned and precisely executed project.
