Whilst Mum is cooking, she can keep an eye on the little ones, and if they want to, they can even chat to each other. Let\u2019s face it, we can\u2019t be in two places at once, and it\u2019s often a struggle to juggle housework on the one hand and helping the children with their homework on the other. With a layout like this, we can do both at the same time. If we use the layout shown in the picture and arrange it so that a small table is within the children\u2019s line of sight, we can always keep half an eye on them whilst they\u2019re drawing or doing their maths homework.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #009b77;\">Multifunctional kitchen island<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>A kitchen island is also perfect for acting as a divider between the kitchen and the living room. Many people use it simply as a bar counter or dining area, but you can also build in a sink, a hob or even an oven. This keeps the two areas completely separate, even though they are in the same room. In this case, the floor pattern has been used to separate the living room from the kitchen and dining area, thereby avoiding the need for walls or other room dividers.
