But it doesn\u2019t necessarily have to be that way. With a little imagination and some creative design, you can turn the space under the ceiling into something both useful and tidy. \u00a0As shown in the picture, you could even sneak in a bit of mood lighting there \u2013 a spot you\u2019d previously have simply tried to draw attention away from. Just don\u2019t put your breakfast cereal bowl there; choose beautiful items that you use less often.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #009b77;\">Make your kitchen feel cosy with plants<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Some plants always look good in the kitchen. This is particularly true if you have a kitchen with a very clean, simple and understated colour scheme. It often happens that, even though we\u2019d really like to, we simply can\u2019t find a place for them. However, they\u2019ll fit on top of the cupboard, and what\u2019s more, they create a much cosier atmosphere. We spend a particularly long time in the kitchen at this time of year, so we can heighten our anticipation by doing everything we can to bring the Christmas spirit into this space too. Space is often limited in the kitchen, so there isn\u2019t much room for decorations either. The top row of cupboards can be the perfect spot if we fancy changing the atmosphere in our kitchen every now and then. Choose wallpaper with a bold pattern for that area, or place colourful objects or works of art there. If it\u2019s very high up, don\u2019t choose everyday items; focus instead on the visual appeal.
